Introduction to HTML

No matter how sophisticated or dynamic a website is, it all started with Hypertext Markup Language or HTML.  In this class we’ll cover the basics of HTML, why it’s needed, its syntax, and what it does. You’ll also practice writing HTML and begin structuring your first web page.

About the series: In this series you will learn HTML and CSS, two basic yet crucial languages each website uses to display content across the web and mobile devices.

Prerequisites: Basic PC and internet skills: able to send email, browse the web, navigate a desktop, and save files to a folder. Recommended: Intro to Programming Concepts to establish an understanding of the background concepts we'll use.
