Persistent Vision: Punk in DC

What's more punk than reading freely?
In celebration of Free to Read Week, learn about another movement that fought for equal space for suppressed voices. Ben Jackson, co-curator of the Persistent Vision online exhibition at the University of Maryland, will use the digitized collection of DC punk memorabilia to tell the story of a subculture and community that used music as a tool to affect change.
This program is part of the library's recognition of Free to Read Week.
RSVP to receive an event reminder email. Seating is limited. Seating is first-come, first seated.
