DESCRIPTION:What's more punk than reading freely? \n\nIn celebration of 
 Free to Read Week\, learn about another movement that fought for equal 
 space for suppressed voices. Ben Jackson\, co-curator of the Persistent 
 Vision online exhibition at the University of Maryland\, will use the 
 digitized collection of DC punk memorabilia to tell the story of a 
 subculture and community that used music as a tool to affect change. \n\n 
 \n\nThis program is part of the library's recognition of Free to Read Week.
