Learn about the people and machinery treating our County water!

Join the Library for a special, in-person tour of Arlington County's Water Pollution Control Plant. The plant’s mission is to safely and economically process wastewater and hazardous waste materials to protect the environment: especially Four Mile Run, the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay.

We'll attend an indoor presentation followed by a tour of the facility. We'll learn about the machinery and processes that manage and treat our wastewater. We'll also learn how to do our part in preserving the health of our waterways.

Registration required. Maximum 20 attendees. Grades 6 and older.

Registrants will receive a reminder email with more details.

This program is offered in partnership with the Department of Environmental Services. For more information about Summer Reading 2022, visit the website. Summer Reading is made possible through the generosity of the Friends of the Arlington Public Library
