An Evening of News Photography & History with Photographer Gerald Martineau
 
Come join us at the Glencarlyn Public Library Branch for an evening of exciting photography!
Local Gerald Martineau, retired photographer for The Washington Post, will show his work and reflect on various aspects of his 40 year career at the paper. Mr. Martineau, retired from the Washington Post in 2010 as a general assignment photographer and night picture editor/assignment editor that spanned 8 presidential administrations - Nixon through Obama. Mr. Martineau has received numerous photo awards from The White House News Photographer Association, The National Press Photographers Association, and National Headliners Awards among others. His photos have been published internationally and are in the permanent collection of the Library of Congress. He has taught photo journalism at Northern Virginia Community College and is involved in audio-visual production as a documentary and teaching medium.
