Join us for a guided walk to learn about trees growing near Westover Library

Ask your own questions and get answers to: 

  • What trees are appropriate for planting near power lines?
  • What percent of my yard should be native plants to support birds?
  • How close to my house or street can I plant my tree?
  • What trees are best for soggy areas?
  • What are the best trees for wildlife?
  • Do I need to mulch, and how much is the right amount?
  • How much water do newly planted trees and established mature trees need?
  • What about deer?

Program attendees will meet in front of Westover Library and walk three blocks from and return to the Westover Library. Please wear appropriate footwear for walking on sidewalks. This program is in partnership with Tree Stewards of Arlington & Alexandria
