A discussion of Toni Morrison, with a focus on "Beloved"

Registration required. This webinar will be held via Zoom. Instructions to join will be emailed to all registrants. You don't have to read the book to join, but it is encouraged.

The only African American to receive the Nobel Prize in literature, Toni Morrison expanded and enriched American letters by poetically inserting African American experience into the American narrative and, in so doing, made the American narrative more complex and complete. Her eleven novels as well as her editorial career recalibrated American letters. "Beloved" is her most well known novel, and it offers a unique perspective on a central American institution—slavery and its legacies.
