Escapism Book Club: "Ayesha at Last"

Join us for a Zoom meeting with Author Uzma Jalaluddin
Take a break from working from home and join APL to celebrate the lighter side of literature.
Take an escape with a romantic comedy and get to know Uzma Jalaluddin, author of "Ayesha at Last", who will join us for a Zoom discussion of her book.
Book Description:
Ayesha Shamsi lives with her boisterous Muslim family and is always being reminded that her flighty younger cousin, Hafsa, is close to rejecting her one hundredth marriage proposal. Then she meets Khalid, who is just as smart and handsome as he is conservative and judgmental. When a surprise engagement between Khalid and Hafsa is announced, Ayesha is torn between how she feels about the straightforward Khalid and his family and the truth she realizes about herself. But Khalid is also wrestling with what he believes and what he wants. And he just can’t get this beautiful, outspoken woman out of his mind.
This group will meet every two weeks. New members are always welcome. You don't have to read the book to join, but it is encouraged.
Instructions to join the Zoom meeting will be emailed the day before the meeting to all registrants.
