Encore Learning Presents: Personal Control of Reliable, Resilient, Cost Effective Energy Solutions for Every Household

No registration required. This virtual event is free, and all are welcome.
Join us to learn from sustainable energy expert Scott Sklar. He is a George Washington University energy professor and runs a 20 year old clean energy technology optimization firm, The Stella Group, Ltd. Sklar's house has solar water heating, geothermal heating & cooling, and solar photovolatics tied to a large battery bank; and his rear office building has solar roofing, a small wind turbine, and a hydrogen fuel cell tied to a web-enabled battery bank. He will give three 15-minute presentations with three 15-minute Q&As.
1. Personal choices for an apartment, townhouse, home (even in historic districts) or small business to save energy & water -- commercial products with positive paybacks
2. A step up -- solar daylighting, solar water heating, and some options for the property and garden
3. The big step -- solar electricity (including solar roofing shingles) net-metering, and battery banks, financing approaches: Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), lease, shared savings, loan/credit card
