The Evolution of Political News
Westover Speaker Series: Information, Misinformation and Disinformation.
Join us as we welcome Dr. Kimberly Meltzer, Associate Professor and Chair at Marymount University’s Department of Communication. Dr. Meltzer is the author of the recently released book, "From News to Talk: The Expansion of Opinion and Commentary in US Journalism."
Dr. Meltzer will discuss the evolution of political news, and the heightened attention given to so-called "fake news," misinformation and disinformation. Dr. Meltzer concludes Westover's two-part lecture series focused on civic engagement.
