Writing Nonfiction 101
 
Join us for this four-part series and learn the basics of writing nonfiction by local author, Dave Price.
Session 1 (7/10): Learn how to research your topic and audience, gather information, and how to plan out your book.
Session 2 (7/17): Learn how to develop a writing process that works for you and understand the difference between the good, the bad, and the ugly writing.
Session 3 (7/24): Learn how to revise by proofreading and editing, reducing the draft where possible, and rewriting tips and tricks.
Session 4 (7/31): Learn how to put your book together, where to start to form a nonfiction writing group, and final questions.

Dave Price is the author of Stop! Hey – What’s That Sound: A Groovy Trip Through the Classic Rock of the Woodstock Generation. Price is also a lecturer and program presenter at the Smithsonian, a guide of First Amendment tours at the Newseum in DC, and a senior writer for the digital hub Booming Encore.
