Women's History Month Film Screening: Queen of Katwe
 
Celebrate Women's History Month at Westover Library with a film screening of the biopic "Queen of Katwe", directed by Mira Nair and starring Madina Nalwanga as Ugandan chess prodigy Phiona Mutesi.
Based on the book "The Queen of Katwe: a Story of life, Chess, and One Extraordinary Girl's Dream of Becoming a Grandmaster, this is the story of Phiona Mutesi's journey from the slums of Katwe, where she is forced to abandon her schooling at the age of nine, to the upper echelons of the chess world. Rated PG. (2 hours)
