Celebrate Black History Month at Westover Library with a film screening of the historical drama Selma, directed by Ava DuVernay and starring David Oyelowo as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 

Selma chronicles the unforgettable, true story of the the tumultuous three-month period in 1965, when Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. led a dangerous campaign to secure equal voting rights in the face of violent opposition. Civil-rights activists marched from Selma, Alabama to Montgomery to secure voting rights for black Americans in this docudrama, which focuses on the actions of Martin Luther King Jr. Rated PG-13. (2 hours 8 minutes)
