Contest rules are as follows:

• All costumes must be original, except for accessories and shoes.  Wigs can be pre-styled.
• Ages 10-12, 50% of the costume must be original, except for accessories and shoes.  Wigs can be pre-styled.
• A skit is encouraged (singing, perform a scene, dancing, etc.). A maximum of 2 minutes will be allowed.   Be prepared to talk about/introduce your character.
• No inappropriate behavior, i.e. trash talking, sabotaging, etc., even if you are joking.
• Characters must be established from an actual cartoon, anime, manga, band, comic book, movie, novel or video game. Please bring a reference photo for your character.
• Please note that this is a family-friendly event and costumes must be age appropriate. No real weapons are allowed or anything potentially harmful. Fake weapons as accessories are allowed, but no fake fighting!
