Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with one of the premier Colombian bands in the D.C. metro area.

Using such instruments as accordion, tambor alegre, tambora (two-headed drum), bass, and other percussion, this D.C.-based musical group has become a favorite of D.C.’s Colombian community since forming to perform at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. You’ll hear such genres as vallenato, cumbia (popular folk music from Colombia’s Caribbean region), and tropipop (a blend of traditional musical forms with foreign Latin genres such as salsa and merengue). They have shared the stage with iconic Colombian singer Toto la Momposina; Latin Grammy winner Monsieur Periné; Champeta Criolla; and world music band Tribu Baharu. Come see why De Sanguashington is beloved by the Colombian and Latino community throughout the region!

For all ages. Light refreshments will be served.
