The Great Arlington Bakeoff

Ready. Set. Bake!
In 2026, Arlington Reads Stirs It Up with a yearlong celebration of the nourishing and community-building power of food. As part of this series, the Library is celebrating Arlington’s baking diversity and creativity with a Great Arlington Bakeoff. Amateur home bakers from across the DMV will compete to show off their best bakes in this fun, friendly baking competition. Everyone is invited to come and taste their favorite dishes, with the option to take home new recipes. An awards ceremony will announce the winners of each category and the "Showstopper" that impressed us all.
If you are interested in registering to compete as a baker, please visit this website.
Please note: the food served at this event may contain common allergens, including milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, fish, shellfish, and sesame. We will do our best to note which dishes have allergens, but we cannot guarantee that cross-contact with allergens will not occur.
NO REGISTRATION.
