Join Arlington Public Library for an online presentation by Nicole Shea, Outreach and Engagement Specialist with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Office of Investor Education and Advocacy for a financial program designed especially for people in their 20s through 40s.
Topics will include:
- Investing basics
- Tax-advantaged retirement plans (IRAs, 401ks, TSP, etc.)
- Balancing saving for your retirement and your kids’ education (529 education savings plans)
- How fees impact your investments
- How to research investments and investment professionals
- Learning to spot and avoid investment scams
