Ever been told you should try comedy but don't know where to start?

Share the Love of Laughter and Creativity!

Join comedian Kerby Valladares for a four-week workshop designed to give newcomers a taste of life behind the microphone. You’ll learn how to shape your act, meet local comics, get a feel for the area comedy scene, and discover how to connect with an audience. At the end of the series, participants will take the stage to showcase their material at our Graduation Showcase.

Each session in the series is led by a different instructor and focuses on a unique aspect of stand-up:

  • July 2: Introduction to Comedy
  • July 9: Joke Writing
  • July 16: Finding Your Comedic Voice
  • July 23: Five Minutes to Funny (Preparing Your Set)

Attendance at all sessions is required to graduate.

The Comedy Workshop is designed for ages 18+, but teens in grades 9-12 are welcome with parental approval.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
