DESCRIPTION:Learn from the experts how to plant and improve your 
 garden!\n\nWednesday night garden talks are presented by the Arlington 
 Friends of Urban Agriculture (FOUA) and the Master Gardeners of Northern 
 Virginia. All talks (except for April) are held on the patio next to the 
 FOUA demonstration garden\, unless otherwise indicated. In the event of 
 inclement weather\, the Garden Talks will move to an indoor meeting 
 room.\n\nSpring Dates and Topics: \n\n\n	Apr. 2: Plan it Right: Seeds\, 
 Seedlings and More: Plant your seeds and seedlings so they’ll happily 
 grow for you and learn when and how to start seedlings from experienced 
 gardeners.\n	Apr. 16: Tomato Love: Tomatoes are a popular crop in home 
 gardens. Learn how you can grow and maintain tomatoes to make the most of 
 your crop.\n	May 7: Herbs - Planning & Planting: Fresh herbs can take your 
 cooking from good to great. There are herbs for all cuisines and growing 
 conditions. Which will you grow? How do you grow them? Where do they fit 
 with your vegetables?\n	May 21: Gardening Structures: Easy-to-build garden 
 structures help you save garden space\, grow healthier plants\, bring 
 higher yields.\n	Jun. 4: Weeds 101 - Recognize\, control\, or eat? Do you 
 know what a weed looks like? You may be surprised. Learn to identify and 
 control those weeds before they control your garden.\n	Jun. 18: Good Bugs\, 
 Bad Bugs: Know the difference! They’re part of the pattern of nature and 
 growing fresh produce. Learn to encourage good bugs and help them combat 
 the bad guys.\n	Jul. 2: Seed Harvesting: What to know to collect and save 
 seeds for future seasons.\n	Jul. 16: Water Where it Counts: Rain Barrels\, 
 Drip Irrigation & In-Ground Ollas: Make watering your garden faster\, 
 easier\, and more efficient.\n	Jul. 30: Blue Ribbon Gardens - County Fair 
 Rules: Learn about the fair’s competitive exhibits and how to enter your 
 veggies\, flowers\, crafts\, or food creations.\n	Aug. 6: No Session: 
 Arlington County Fair Aug 13-17\n	Aug. 20: Cover Crops for Healthy Soil: 
 Cover crops protect\, nurture and add structure to your soil. Learn the 
 what\, when and how of using cover crops to bring your garden to a whole 
 new level.\n	Sept. 3: Plants to Dye For: Learn about the fibers people grew 
 in our area for clothing and everyday use. Explore local plants you can use 
 to dye your own fabric in this fun garden talk.\n	Sept. 17: Fall Foraging: 
 There are good things to eat all around you. Learn to identify and prepare 
 safe edibles found in our wild (and not so wild) areas.\n	Oct. 1: Bees & 
 Honey: More than just pollinators!\n	Oct. 15: Garlic! Plant it Now: Are you 
 a garlic lover? Learn about how to plant and when to harvest garlic\, plus
