Learn about resources available to you

In the current federal employment landscape, it’s critical to understand how to protect yourself and prepare for further uncertainty in this federal employment landscape. Our panel of experts will help answer your questions regarding your rights, remedies and recourse. And Arlington Public Library will have available resources to help you find new employment should the need arise. This program is provided by the Arlington County Democratic Committee

Members of our panel also know how to guide contractors in securing their rightful payments and awards from the government and how to navigate through the meaning and impact of Executive actions and find a receptive ear within the current administration. This is your chance to ask questions and connect with others facing the same challenges. Our panel features representatives from labor, legal, and policy perspectives as they pertain to federal workers and contractors:

  • Alissa Tafti – President, AFGE Local 2211, and Chair, Federal Labor Caucus, NoVA Labor Federation
  • Patrice Howard – Attorney specializing in government contracting, former DOJ Contracting Officer managing grants for non-profits and law enforcement agencies
  • James Kearney – Partner at Womble Bond Dickinson. He specializes in representing both prime contractors and subcontractors in their dealings with federal, state and local government agencies.

Light refreshments will be served.

NO REGISTRATION. You may find more information on the Arlington County Democratic Committee's website.
