Join us for an artist talk of "Am I Welcome Here?", an art exhibit about diversity and inclusion from international students’ eyes.

On its fourth venue, the group show Am I Welcome Here? invites viewers to reflect on what diversity, inclusion, and belonging mean in the United States. The exhibition centers on six artists’ experiences as international students, navigating cultures, politics, and everything in between during some of the most difficult times to be in this country. Coming from Japan, Kuwait/Palestine, Korea, Puerto Rico, and China, the artists in this show have used their training as art therapists to expand their visual expression and explore what it means to be who they are while seeking a sense of belonging within the United States.

We will meet via a hybrid format, both online and in person. If you wish to participate in person, join us in the Barbara M. Donnellan Auditorium.

Following the artist talk and Q&A, there will be an an art-making session for attendees to create art and reflect on the theme of belonging through visual expression and writing. This event is intended for teens, adults, and older adults.
