Professional violinist Xi Chen, who plays with the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra, will share her love of music and expertise in violin. Enjoy an evening of splendid music, keen insights into playing the violin, and entertaining anecdotes about performing with major national orchestras.

About the Speaker

Xi Chen comes from a family of musicians and music educators. At the age of eleven, she enrolled at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, China. She received her Master's Degree from Temple University. Xi is a member of the Kennedy Center Opera House/Washington National Opera Orchestra. She is inspired by audiences and students she meets at her performances, through Kennedy Center's Education Outreach Program and at her studio.
