Are you interested in viewing eclectic and lesser-known films? Join us!

We are partnering with Oddball Cinema. Oddball Cinema presents movies that you won’t find at your local multiplex: obscure, unusual, and independent features, as well as occasional classics. The host will introduce the movie, focusing on what makes it “oddball.” After the film, there will be time to discuss it.

About the film:  A committee of distinguished African-American academics meets in 1939. As they consider different plans to counter the racist attitudes and institutions of the time, they come to a radical conclusion: the best solution is to leave the planet. Three volunteers embark on the first flight to Mars in anticipation of establishing a society free from white oppression. As in all the best comedies, things do not go as planned.
