About the film: Robin Wright is famous for playing "The Princess Bride," Jenny in "Forrest Gump," and many other memorable characters. In this movie, she plays herself in a story that begins in a perfectly ordinary way: she's dealing with family and career issues and arguing with her agent about a new contract, the terms of which she doesn't like. Eventually, she signs that contract with a few revisions, and then she and the viewer begin a headlong dive down one of cinema's deepest rabbit holes.  The screenplay is based on a novel by Stanislaw Lem, The Futurological Congress, in which the visionary Polish author foresaw the development of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and deepfake videos.
