Join Anna-Maija Mattila-Litvak in a four-week long meditation practice.

In this 4-week structured program, you will join Anna-Maija, a certified meditation and yoga instructor, in a series of classes that will cover weekly meditation, a talk, and a discussion on mindfulness subjects. Each 60-minute class will provide skills to establish a personal meditation and mindfulness practice and focus particularly on topics of lovingkindness, compassion, and mental calmness to help build a positive and healthy relationship with ourselves and others. The individual focus of each week is below:

  • Sept. 5: The first class will focus on mindfulness of the body and mind to help set up a personal meditation practice for the period of the course and beyond – paving the way for the topics of the following weeks.
  • Sept. 12: The second class will focus on lovingkindness and compassion.
  • Sept. 19: The third class will focus on sympathetic joy for oneself and others.
  • Sept. 26: The final class will focus on equanimity and how to be with things as they are, and preparing to continue mindfulness and meditation practice at home beyond the course.

It’s important to know that these are not therapy sessions but classes that offer practical tools for participants to create more mindfulness and calm in their lives through meditation.

The course is inclusive and welcoming to all.

Free. Registration Required.
