Shop Class: Introduction to 3D Scanning
 
Explore how to digitize our world through this 3D scanning workshop.
This workshop covers the workflow of digitizing a real life object or person using 3D scanning. Participants will use two different scanners and learn best practices when scanning and processing these scans into 3D print-ready objects. Participants are encouraged to bring items they want digitized. Staff will 3D print the scanned objects in a choice of color. Participants will be notifed to pick up the finished prints after the completion of the workshop. Workshop prints are free.
Registration Required: Ages 14+. Participants ages 14-17 must have an adult present or have a Maker User Agreement signed by a parent or guardian.
All students must complete a Maker Waiver Agreement prior to participating in this class.
