About the film: The British government’s leading fisheries expert receives an unexpected assignment: assist a wealthy sheik to achieve his dream of establishing salmon fishing in Yemen. In only a matter of minutes he responds with a list of reasons why the project is absurd and impossible. Nonetheless, his superiors want the positive publicity that cooperation between the two countries will generate, so they insist that he proceed. The story is fictional, but it embodies all the irony and perversity of real contemporary politics and government projects.
