Celebrate Shirlington's Spring Fling with a Mini Portrait of your Favorite Pet!

Stop by the plaza in front of the Shirlington Library to have artist Alexandra Schmeling create a quick, marker drawing of your animal pal while you wait. Please note there will be a limit of one portrait per person. 

No registration required. First-come, first-serve until capacity is reached.

About the Artist

Alexandra Schmeling is an Arlington artist who studied photography at Yale and specializes in custom watercolor pet portraits. She started creating pet portraits as a fundraiser for local animal shelters and feels honored to capture people’s pets in art.

Alexandra’s work has been exhibited at the galleries at Shop Made in DC, SHE: DC, Del Ray Artisans, the Art League in Alexandria, and more.
