Learn the Art of Visible Mending!

This Earth Month instead of tossing that old shirt or skirt, turn them into something unique. Hghlight your mending and celebrate your "new" clothes. The Shop is offering a three part beginning series on the art of visible mending by hand:

  • May 21: Sashiko Stitching
  • June 25: Boro Patching
  • July 16: Embroidery Mending

Sign up for all three events or just one. Please bring a piece of clothing that needs to be mended or decorated for the June 25th event. Previous knowledge of basic hand sewing is recommended.

All students must complete a Maker Waiver Agreement prior to participating in this class.

Registration requiredAges 14+. Participants ages 14-17 must have an adult present or have a Maker User Agreement signed by a parent or guardianIf you are registered but are unable to attend, we ask that you cancel your registration using the link found in the registration email.
