Enjoy poetry readings from Arlington students!

Join the Academy of American Poets and Arlington Arts to celebrate the launch of "Words for the World: An Anthology of Arlington Young Poets," which contains the work of 38 amazing Arlington high school students. Come and hear poetry readings from students whose work is included, including the Arlington Youth Laureates who have served as editors for the anthology.

In 2022, Arlington's Poet Laureate Holly Karapetkova was named an Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellow. In collaboration with Day Eight, Karapetkova and the county’s Youth Poetry Ambassadors organized an anthology of youth poetry. The anthology, launching in late May, will be open to all high school county residents and will focus on the theme of resilience.

Registration not required.
