Learn about the pioneering patriots of World War II.

In honor of Veterans Day, the Office of 55+ and Arlington Public Library invite you to a screening of Invisible Warriors: African American Woman in World War II, a documentary by historian and retired professor Gregory Cooke about the 600,000 African-American “Rosie the Riveters” who worked at factories and shipyards during World War II, but whose contributions were largely unrecognized. An illuminating and inspiring conversation with the women who helped shape American history and the lives of future generations. Join us to hear their previously untold stories about life during World War II.

Film run time is 60 minutes.

The film screening will be followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Gregory S. Cooke.

This program is brought to you in partnership with the Office of 55+ and the Alliance for Arlington Senior Programs.
