Courthouse Library Grand Opening and Community Celebration!
The Courthouse Library and Bozman Government Center renovation is complete!
Help welcome Courthouse Library back to the neighborhood and check out the newly renovated spaces. There will be lots to enjoy including:
- 3 p.m.: Storytime and Music
- 4 p.m.: Cookies and Storytime with County Manager Mark Schwartz
- 4:30 p.m.: Welcome and Remarks by County Board Member Katie Cristol plus poetry from Arlington County Poet Laureate Holly Karapetkova to mark National Poetry Month
- 4:45 p.m.: Remarks from Library Director Diane Kresh
- 5:30 p.m.: Live performance by Spinny Johnson on the Plaza
Children and families can also make free crafts, create their own buttons with a button maker, pick up free stickers and books, and sign up for new library cards. Visitors can enter a free drawing to win an autographed copy of “Freewater” by Newberry award-winning author and Arlington resident Amina Luqman-Dawson.
