Join us for an outdoor walk with an experienced local birder and get to know our fine-feathered friends!

Have you always wanted to know more about the birds that surround us every day? Meet up with other like-minded folks and discover the joy of birding!

Walk leader: Musa Murawih, Audubon Society of Northern Virginia

Musa Murawih is a global birder who grew up in Sudan to a Bedouin family. He learned from a young age to identify all living things found during his family's travels. Since immigrating to the U.S. in 1999, he has travelled to 41 U.S. states in pursuit of birds and other natural wonders. He is a Board Member of the Audubon Society of Northern Virginia and has co-led a birding and nature program at Upton Hill Regional Park in Arlington.

Registration required to save your spot and to receive an event reminder. 

Walks will be held in areas surrounding the Cherrydale Library. Meeting location details provided upon registration. Walking required. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water! Event may still be held during light rain; contact library for details on the day of the event. Binoculars will be available for loan from the library. Recommended for age 12 and up with parent or guardian.
