LGBTQ+ Family Storytime

"I Am Jazz" Community Read and Storytime
All families are invited to join us for a storytime in support of transgender and other LGBTQ youth and families.
In partnership with Arlington PFLAG Community Group, the Library is joining the Human Rights Campaign’s “I Am Jazz” Community Reading initiative on Dec. 7.
This event is for families, but all are welcome. Refreshments will be provided after the program.
“I Am Jazz,” written by Jazz Jennings and author Jessica Herthel, is a first-person account about being transgender, and is often used by schools and families to help children understand transgender youth and adults. Jennings was one of the first trans children to talk publicly about her identity and the challenges she has faced as a trans youth.
