Beekeeping with the Northern Virginia Beekeepers Association

In the past year, seven bee species have been added to the endangered species list.  How can we stop this?

Join Dr. Frank Linkton of the Northern Virginia Beekeepers Association to learn about beekeeping, and do your part to bring back the honeybee!

RSVP for an event reminder; attendance is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Dr. Frank Linton has been keeping honey bees on his deck in Fairfax for over 10 years. He also keeps honey bees in a glass observation hive in his house. Frank was introduced to honey bees by his grandfather, a Vermont beekeeper and dairy farmer, many years ago, and five years ago Frank became an EAS-certified Master Beekeeper. Frank has published one beekeeping book, hosts two beekeeping websites, The Beekeeper and Colony Monitoring, and has published more than 10 articles in beekeeping magazines. Recently retired from The MITRE Corporation, Frank has come to realize he still has a lot to learn when it comes to honey bees and beekeeping.
