Create a Homemade Knitting or Crochet Blankets for a Child in Need of Comfort
Join us to learn how to make a Project Linus blanket. Then you'll have the rest of the summer to finish it, before dropping it off at the library for donation.
Materials will be supplied by the Library.
The nonprofit Project Linus began in 1995, after Karen Loucks read an article about young girl with leukemia, and the special blanket that brought her comfort during chemotherapy. Karen was inspired by the girl's story to provide homemade security blankets to Denver's Rocky Mountain Children's Cancer Center - and Project Linus was born.
