Global-Phonic at the Library: Nistha Raj Violinist

Bring a blanket or a chair and grab a spot on the Westover lawn!
Called “stunningly skilled in western and eastern classical music” by the Washington City Paper, recent Strathmore Artist in Residence Nistha Raj kicks off the Global-Phonic at the Library concert series. Featuring international sounds with a contemporary edge, Arlington Arts' successful 'alt-traditional' contemporary concert series expands to encourage a deeper exploration of culture and community.
The Library has also put together complementary reading materials so you can explore the music and cultures more deeply!
The series continues:
- July 14 - Krar Collective - Gritty, contemporized Ethiopian grooves by London-based ensemble.
- Aug. 4 - Elena & Los Fulanos – DC-based indie-Mariachi mash-up with a socially-conscious edge.
In partnership with Arlington Cultural Affairs Division, Arlington Arts.
