Monday Evening with Friends: "All the Old Knives"
 
The Friends of the Arlington Public Library have been meeting since 1985 to read and discuss books of their choice.
The group traditionally meets on the fourth Monday of the month, except for December which will be held one week early due to the major holiday.
The July selection is "All the Old Knives" by Olen Steinhauer.
- Aug. 22: "Gutenberg's Apprentice" by Alix Christie
- Sept. 26: "Family Furnishings: Selected Stories, 1995-2014" by Alice Munro
- Oct. 24: "As I Lay Dying" by William Faulkner
- Nov. 28: Poetry selections, readers' choices
- Dec. 19: "The Prophet" by Kahlil Gibran
