Need help getting your computer’s software to work?  Want to download a book or magazine from the Library’s eCollection? Interested in finally uploading all the photos on your smartphone? 

Library tech assistants can provide one-on-one assistance with:

  • Basic computer tasks
  • Completing tasks in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other computer software
  • Troubleshooting an issue on your personal device
  • Downloading eBooks and eAudiobooks
  • Creating email accounts
  • Getting started with social media such as Facebook or Twitter

Need help with a job search or application? Please attend one of our Job seeker labs for access to public computers and trained staff, or attend one of our job seeker tech classes.

Need help learning a software package or need an extensive tutorial? We are not able to provide this assistance in a 1/2 hour session. Instead, please consider one of our free computer classes or try out one of the many classes offered through Lynda.com, free at any library with your card.

Our tech assistants can help with issues on our public computers or on your own laptop, device, or eReader. Library tech assistants cannot assist with computer viruses, performance issues, or hardware maintenance.

Please remember to bring any needed logins and passwords. Also If you are bringing in your own equipment, bring all needed parts including power cords and cables. Library tech assistants will not be able to provide computer accessories for your device. Tech assistants may not be able to assist if you are not on time for your appointment.
